AGILE Visit to School

AGILE Team Visits Yobe’s Senior Secondary Schools in Damaturu.
A Team from the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment AGILE, led by M&E Component Lead, Alh Kachalla Dala Buni, recently visited senior secondary schools in Damaturu, Yobe State.
The visit was aimed at establishing Education Management Information System (EMIS) offices in all senior secondary schools across the state, an activity supported by AGILE project.
During the visit, the team requested the schools to nominate an EMIS Desk Officer who will be assigned the responsibilities of handling the school’s data electronically and share to the ministry when the need arises.
They also emphasized on the importance of reliable and accurate data reporting by EMIS officers.
This initiative is part of AGILE’s efforts to improve education data in Yobe State, particularly for adolescent girls.
By establishing EMIS offices and ensuring accurate data reporting, AGILE aims to enhance the quality of education and promote empowerment among our girls in the state.
The schools visited included GGUC Damaturu, GGSS Buni-Gari, GDSSS Damaturu, GSS Damaturu, GSS Goneri, GDSSSS Modu Mustapa GDSSSS, Waziri Ibrahim GGDSSSS Damaturu Central.
